Trip和Tour有什麼差別？一次搞懂8種旅行的英文

Journey、Trip、Voyage、Cruise、Tour、Travel、Commute、Expedition包含了各種旅行形式，

但是該如何向外國朋友正確表達你是哪一種旅行方式呢？快來解惑吧:D

 

Journey：通常指從A地到B地（陸地）上的遠距離旅行。（An act of traveling from one place to another, especially when they are far apart）
舉例：We are the casual acquaintance of a long railway journey.
（我們是在火車長途旅行中偶然結識的朋友。）


Trip：為名詞，通常指短途旅行，或在另一地僅度過一小段時間後即返回的旅行。（An act of traveling from one place to another, and usually back again）
舉例：I’m not carrying much with me on this trip.
（這次出去旅行我隨身帶的東西不多。）


Voyage：為名詞，主要指遠距離的水上旅行，也可以指空中旅行意思為航海、航空、航行等。（A long journey, especially by ocean or in space）
舉例：On this account we should be more cautious on this voyage.
（因此， 我們應該在這次航行中格外小心謹慎）

Cruise：指船上旅行。（A journey by ocean, visiting different places, especially as a vacation.）
舉例：If you plan to cruise, how many crew may be aboard?
（如果你計畫巡航，船上將有多少位水手？）

tour：可為動詞和名詞，通常指類似旅行團的旅遊、觀光旅行。（A journey made for pleasure during which several different places are visited.）
舉例：We tour by car every summer.
（每年夏天我們都駕車出外旅行。）

travel：可作動詞和名詞，一般表示從一地到另一地旅行這一總概念，是旅行之意義中含意最廣的字，特別用於到遠方或長時間的旅行，尤指出國旅行。其複數形式意思為「旅遊筆記」、「遊記」。（To go from one place to another, especially over a long distance）
舉例：Travel gives us a worthy and improving pleasure.
（旅行給予我們一種高尚有益的快樂。）

Commute：可作為動詞與名詞，有通勤的意思 （這個單字也有減刑的意思！）（The regular trip that a person makes when they travel to work and back home again）
舉例：Leaving the car at home and sharing your commute with others can help you reach your gallon goal very quickly.
（把汽車在家裡和與其他人分享您的通勤，可以幫助您很快達到一加侖的目標。）

Expedition：為名詞，有遠征、探險隊之意。（An organized journey with a particular purpose, especially to find out about a place that is not well-known）
舉例：The expedition started out before sunrise.
（太陽出來之前探險隊就出發了。）
